Kathmandu: FAO Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, Mr. Ken Shimizu, joined UN Resident Coordinator Ms. Lila Pieters Yahia and Hon. Mina Devi Sob, Member, National Dalit Commission, alongside heads of UN agencies, in a tree plantation activity, reaffirming a shared commitment to protecting the environment.
The celebration also brought sustainability closer to people through a vibrant exhibition of eco-friendly products. From biofertilizers and bamboo alternatives to upcycled crafts and natural products, the stalls highlighted how communities across Nepal are turning local resources into innovative, climate-friendly livelihoods.
