Kathmandu: Nepal and the Federated States of Micronesia established diplomatic relations on September 14.
H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations and H.E. Jeem S. Lippwe, Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia to the UN, signed a Joint Communiqué to this effect.
During a cordial bilateral meeting, the two Ambassadors discussed matters of mutual interest and affirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including at the United Nations.
With this, Nepal’s diplomatic relations have expanded to 185 countries.
Nepal looks forward to deepening friendship and cooperation with the Federated States of Micronesia and advancing shared priorities at the UN and other multilateral forums.
