Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa had a productive meeting with Ms. Tatiana Molcean, Executive Secretary of UNECE.
President Thapa and Executive Secretary Molcean exchanged views on the outcomes of HLPF 2026, the important role of regional commissions in accelerating SDG implementation through evidence-based policymaking and regional cooperation, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration between ECOSOC and UNECE in advancing sustainable transport, energy transition, resilient infrastructure and data for sustainable development as they work toward the 2027 SDG Summit.
