Kathmandu: UNECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa met with H.E. Mr. Christo Polendakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, on the margins of High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) on July 15.
President Thapa and Deputy Minister Polendakov underscored the important role of ECOSOC in advancing inclusive multilateralism, as well as the importance of multilateral cooperation and stronger partnerships to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
They also discussed the value of Voluntary National Reviews in promoting peer learning and strengthening implementation efforts to accelerate progress on the SDGS in the lead-up to the 2027 SDG Summit.
