Kathmandu: UNFPA Nepal, in partnership with the Provincial Youth Council, has launched the Provincial Level Youth Mock Parliament in Sudurpaschim Province.
The initiative provides a structured platform for 50 young leaders to build skills in local governance and parliamentary proceedings. Moving beyond a simulation, participants are actively drafting a youth policy white paper and a draft youth act bill to hand over directly to the Minister for Social Development.
The launch was backed by a coalition of local leadership, including the Provincial Speaker, Ministry representatives, UN agencies, and civil society partners.
